"Never again," I muttered to Inspector Lestrade. He had waylaid me on my way back to Baker Street and suggested we go for a beer in one of the more respectable public houses.

Lestrade grunted sympathetically. I wasn't the only one who had suffered that day. Fortunately it was no more than bumps and bruises, but a bit of forethought might have prevented the majority of them.

"Never again will I blindly follow Holmes when he declares the game is a-foot . I will insist he tells me what's happening first."

Lestrade nodded. "That's right, Doctor. Never again, until next time!"
