Ros came onto the Grid on Wednesday afternoon and placed a box on her desk. "Gather round everyone," she called. "Tariq, call Harry!"
They watched as she took a large cake out of the box.
"What's this for?" Adam asked. "I wasn't aware it was anyone's birthday."
"It isn't," Ros said. "We've all had a rotten week so far, so I bought us a cake to celebrate being halfway through and therefore halfway to the weekend."
The others cheered and Harry shook his head. "You're all mad," he said.
Ros grinned. "It won't stop you having some though, will it?"
They watched as she took a large cake out of the box.
