Notes: A scene from Season 5, Episode 1 "Old, Unhappy, Far Off Things" where Hathaway spends all night recreating the timeline of a party by pinning photos to a board.
It was a relief to James Hathaway to plug his ears with opera and sink into the assembly of the puzzle. The board was his blank slate, the photographs were his pieces, his only guiding principle were the time stamps, but by morning and the arrival of, he hoped, a well-rested Robbie, he’d have a picture of that fateful celebration which had left a girl in a coma and a boy missing, that masquerade which had cast shadow of suffering and doubt for more than a decade. Yes, perhaps, by morning, Hathaway would be a bit closer to the truth.
