Hercule Poirot - Waiting Out the Rain

Title: Waiting Out the Rain
Fandom: Hercule Poirot
Rating: G

"No, no, Japp, I do not need to accompany you," Hercule Poirot said. "I will shelter here in the hotel lounge while you and Hastings go and make the necessary arrests."

Half an hour later a bedraggled Japp and Hastings returned.

"You were not successful I see," Poirot said. "But never mind, I think if you enquire for the occupants of room 47 you will find those you seek."

"If you knew that, why did you let us go out in the rain?" a somewhat irate Japp demanded.

"They had not arrived then. They were, perhaps, delayed by the rain!"
