The Soplanian Halloween bash had gone smashingly, despite a pair of party-crashers.
In fact, for the Doctor, it had almost gone too far.
"I think you saved my neck," he told River after it was over. "How did you ever get the Dowager to stop coming on to me?"
River grinned slyly. "I merely took her aside and warned her to keep her hands off of my husband."
He raised an eyebrow. "Or?"
"Or I'd magic her into a toad."
The Doctor looked River over, taking in her sexy witch costume.
"If anyone could, it'd be you," he chuckled.
